Send to people who expect it

Send to customers, members, students, patients and contacts who gave you their number or have a business relationship with you. Give marketing recipients a clear way to opt out and honour it.

Say who you are

Start messages with your business name so recipients know who wrote, and keep the content true and clear.

Not allowed

Phishing, impersonation of banks, delivery firms, public bodies or other companies, links to malware, fraud and scams, content that is illegal where it is sent or received, harassment and threats, adult content, and messages to lists that were bought, scraped or guessed.

Volume and timing

Plan large campaigns for local daytime and avoid sending the same message to the same person many times. Scheduled sending helps you reach each country at a good hour.

What happens on a breach

Sending that breaks this policy can be stopped at once, and the account can be closed. Balances on closed accounts for abuse are not refunded.
